Follow your teams
Following a team makes it yours on every schedule: its rows are larger, carry a star, and you can filter a schedule down to My teams with one tap. You need to be signed in to follow.
Find a team
Section titled “Find a team”- At the top of the screen, tap the menu in the middle of the header and choose Teams. (The home screen’s Find your team link goes to the same place.)
- If you are signed out, you will be asked to sign in first.
- Under Search for your team, type at least two letters of the team’s name or the gym’s name.
- Results are tagged Team or Gym. A team result shows its gym and location underneath, so two teams with the same name are easy to tell apart.
Follow it
Section titled “Follow it”- Tap a Team result to open the team’s page. In the header, tap ☆ Follow. It changes to ★ Unfollow, and the team now appears in your list.
- Tap a Gym result to open the gym’s page, which lists all of its teams. Tap a team’s name to open its page, then tap ☆ Follow there.
The team page also has a Request to join button. That is different from following: joining asks the gym to add you as a member of the team, and the gym has to approve it. Following needs no approval and happens instantly.
Follow more than one team
Section titled “Follow more than one team”Go back to Teams. Once you follow at least one team the page is headed My Teams, with your teams listed under You follow, and a second search box underneath labeled Follow another team. Search and follow exactly as before. Teams you already follow are left out of the results.
The free follow limit
Section titled “The free follow limit”Unfollow a team
Section titled “Unfollow a team”On the Teams page, tap the star on a team’s row. Or open the team’s page and tap ★ Unfollow. You can also follow and unfollow from a schedule row (see Reading the schedule).
Can’t find your team?
Section titled “Can’t find your team?”If a search comes up empty, the page says: Don’t see your team? It shows up once its first competition schedule is posted, or invite your gym to join On Deck. Tap Copy setup link to copy a link you can send to your gym owner or coach.
If you used the previous version of On Deck
Section titled “If you used the previous version of On Deck”Teams you followed in the previous version of On Deck are brought over to My Teams. If you are on a free account and more than 3 came across, the app shows Choose your 3 teams the first time you open it: tick the ones to keep and tap Keep these teams, or tap Start fresh to remove them all and pick again.
Next: Your competition page.
